Im living in Canada but I dont have a Canada passport but now I?
If you are a Canadian resident, you will need your Permanent Resident card. If you dont have a PR card, Canada Customs has every right to (and has been known to) refuse you entry into Canada. The need for a PR card is very well known and explained at length when you become a legal, permanent resident, so theres not a lot of sympathy for failing to comply with those rules. If your PR card has expired, you can get a temporary waiver at a Canadian High Commission in the country you are visiting, but you WILL need a PR card (or temporary waiver) to get back into Canada. Period. If you dont have a valid PR card, chances are extremely good that the airline staff simply will not allow you to board the plane for the return trip to Canada. As for your home country passport, thats between you and your home country. If youre actually living in Canada legally, its the PR card thats going to be your primary point of concern.
