How does overstaying in another country affect my Canada visa?
The visa application asks if you were ever deported or ordered to leave any country. Canada has access to derogatory visa info for quite a few countries, but not all of them, so it depends on the country and if you left quietly on your own volition or were discovered and ordered to leave (or worse, arrested and deported). If you answer the visa question incorrectly, even unintentionally, and IRCC finds out, you will be banned from even submitting a visa application to Canada for 5 years, and will have a very hard time getting a visa ever after. Ditto for all the countries that have access to our derogatory info.
