Since you are a permanent resident and there is no limit on the time that you can stay in Canada, a provision of time on your passport before expiration is not required. You need to make sure your passport meets the requirement of the canadian authorities. All passport must be machine readable. I do not know when Venezuela started issuing machine readable passports, and since yours is near expiration it may not be.
