Why was my passport not stamped on entry and exit from Canada?
CBSA no longer routinely stamps passports and Canada does not have positive exit controls. Usually passports are only stamped where the processing of a traveler is not routine. If CBSA wishes to confirm the departure of a traveler, they will issue them a Visitor Record which will require the traveler to check in with CBSA at their point of departure be it a land, sea or airport point of departure.
