Is it possible to cross the border from Canada into the US without?
It is possible for a Canadian citizen to cross into the US with only a passport. You don't mention your citizenship, so I cant give you a definitive answer about visa-free travel if you're not a Canadian cituzen. A very pregnant woman could definitely see added scrutiny particularly from visa-required countries. The US border guard would likely ask an 8-month-pregnant woman why on earth she is traveling so close to her due date. US border agents have seen every trick and scam in the book. Don't assume you can get anything by them. And a US border is a US border. If you need a visa to visit the US, you need it wherever you cross the border. I don't know what you mean by not having passports checked. Even Canadians have their passports checked at the US border. Edit: You do realize a passport and a visa are two different things, right?
