Is it hard to get a job as a powerline technician in Switzerland?

I think the profession is called "Netzelektriker = grid electrician" in German-speaking Switzerland. Profession description: Netzelektriker/in EFZ For example, if you search in Zurich, you have to enter "Stelle Netzelektriker Zrich" in Google and you will already find quite a few vacancies. So I think your chances are good. But it is important that you speak the local national language: High German in German-speaking Switzerland, French in French-speaking Switzerland or Italian in southern Switzerland. I can imagine that standards and also the technology used differ between Canada and Switzerland, so I would expect that a certain amount of further training will be necessary. In a possible job interview I would therefore address the topic of further training. In technical professions in Switzerland, if you are good and work very independently, you usually have very good opportunities.
