Is it correct that UK passports call their people citizens?

It is correct that countries that have Queen Elizabeth II as their nominal head of state have citizens. The idea that the people of these countries are not citizens but subjects is propaganda invented by American jingoists whose ultimate aim is to convince their fellow Americans that people from countries other than the US do not have freedom. Technically, we are citizens of our countries but subjects of the Queen. However, the status of being a subject of a monarch does not have any actual legal consequences (it is just a traditional label), whereas being a citizen of a country is something that is imbued with a great deal of legal meaning.
