In 2002, I took a spontaneous drive from California to Canada all the way eastward to the Atlantic Provinces and then back, no problems. What kind of preparations (passports, visas, etc.) should be made now to make that drive again in 2019? Sounds like a FANTASTIC trip! As a US citizen, bring your valid passport to get into Canada and back to the USA. Drive defensively, stay hydrated, and enjoy the ride!
