If I was born in Canada and have a birth certificate, but don't have?
You have to order a certified extract of birth registration from the province of your birth. This will be the form your parents filled out when you were born. It will have all of the information about your parents on it, assuming it was filled in completely. Some provinces are now issuing birth certificates with the child's parent's information on it. The one I ordered from Alberta in 2012 had all my parents info on it. Check with vital statistics office in the province where you were born.
