I got a one-year Canada study visa but I have a 2-year program .?
Hello, Note that if you have not departed to Canada, then your study permit has not been issued. If you are in Canada now, and your study permit was issued for a one-year duration instead of two, you can always extend it at Ottawa. This is no issue. Ensure that you do so at least 90 days to its expiry. If you have not facilitated entry yet, and since you have a validity of 5-years on your travel documents, your study permit will be issued at the POE (Point of Entry) based on the length of your program or travel document. When an application is approved, a visa is appended to the travel document to enable the applicant to facilitate entry into Canada to get the study permit issued at the POE.
