I already submitted my PR application to Canada, is there a problem?
It shouldn't a problem, just go ahead. But remember to keep the old one as there are still important information on it. When CIC asks for your passport to put permanent resident visa on it, send them the new one instead since they can't put a visa on an expired passport.
