How accurate is the myth that its easier to get into the US by?
Its called a myth for a reason. People who think getting status in Canada that makes US immigration easier later are mistaken. The reason is because the US determines wait times and eligibility for immigration, read Green Card, based on where you were born not what other naturalized citizenships you may hold. If you werent born in Canada you get no advantages on coming to the USA. Natural born Canadian citizens are charged to Canada and wait times for Canadian-born citizens are not backlogged. If you are from an oversubscribed country like India, China, the Philippines and so with multi-decade backlogs, getting to Canada will not improve your chances to get into the USA one iota. Youll just be waiting in Canada instead. A Canadian citizen, natural born or naturalized does get visa-free travel to the USA along with the TN visa eligibility. So there is that upside.
