Does white collar jobs in Middle Eastern countries like still give?
It isnt viewed as discrimination. Rather, those countries base their salaries on what a worker would have made working in his home country. Because THAT is the basis of the opportunity cost of working in the Middle East. All countries have a different opportunity cost - with the GCC countries having the highest, America the next highest (because of FATCA laws), then the EU, then Australia/Canada, then Russia, then ex-Soviet countries like Georgia, then India, Pakistan, etc go right down the list. What that means is that for several nationalities, it is just too hard to find a highly enough paid job in the Middle East. Especially after Covid-19 lockdowns.
