Can I enter Canada on an expired Canadian passport?
I actually asked this question originally, but since I just tried it out at the airport, I'll answer it myself entering Canada with an expired passport is perfectly legitimate and very easy. An expired passport still counts as proof of citizenship, and the officer at immigration thought it was completely unremarkable that I was entering on an expired passport she was even surprised that the machines didn't let me through! Of course she asked if I had another passport, which I did, as it was the one I was travelling on abroad. I didn't get extra questions, asked why I let my passport expire, or any screening. It was completely routine as with a normal passport! Though of course, I'll be getting a new one as soon as possible.
